Sodium hydroxide is highly soluble in water and readily absorbs moisture and carbon dioxide present in the air. It is supplied in two concentrations, 30% and 50%.
It is used in industries such as aluminum production, manufacturing various sodium silicates, production of detergent powders and liquids, vegetable oil processing, leather tanning, mineral processing, viscose fiber production, food industries, chlorine production, production of caustic soda flakes, cleaning agents for surfaces and greasy pipes, olive processing, and PVC production.
Liquid caustic soda is available in concentrations of 30% and 50% and is supplied in specialized tanks and 220-liter polyethylene drums.
